Amazon is always my first part of call when either I can't find what I want locally at all, or if I can it's been marked up extortionately! I'm gradually putting all my flours and many of my other store cupboard staples into glass jars, both because it's practical and also because it looks nicer when you're forced into the open shelf storage option due to a lack of cupboard space! However, I learned the hard way that whatever weight of flour you have, you need double that figure in storage volume, and as flour is best value bought in 1.5kg bags (and, in the case of white bread flour, is only available in 1.5kg bags) that means 3l storage jars! Locally they are hard to find, and if they are there are either really pricey or don't come with a rubber seal. Which brought me here, and the priority of my bread flour storage solved. I'll be back for two more for my plain and self-raising soon!
