It's been ages since I saw this documentary - it must have been about fifteen years, in fact, but I have never forgotten it. I'm a great fan of documentary and ethnographic film anyway, but this is absolutely mind-blowing. If you have ever wondered why guns are banned in the U.K. - or even if you haven't - then this is something that you should watch at least once in your lifetime.

having recently upgraded my old vhs copy, this film still packs a fair old punch, even by todays standards. Its all delivered cold, deadpan and very sobering. My only minor gripe is the twee john lennon singalong torwards the end (that made me want to reach for a gun). Highly reccomended even if your not a mondo fan. Buy It before its deleted.

What we get here is a gruesome insight to america`s violent culture, spanning from the killings of JFK and Martin Luther King, the Vietnam war, to the boom of mass murderers like Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy and Ed Kemper. This film is based on authentic archive material, news clips, and interviews, which makes the whole film much more unpleasant. This is indeed a film that should be classified as a documentary, no matter how cruel it is. Highly recommended.

Very interesting and often disturbing documentary about murder in America. This documentary features REAL footage of killings, and is not to be confused with 'mockumentaries' like Faces Of Death and its friends. It is shown like an episode of COPS ( The old police series on Sky One), only it is VERY graphic. It is fast moving in places and you will find yourself pressing rewind often just to see that murder again! DEFINATELY not for the Mary Whitehouses of the world but will certainly appeal to mondo fans everywhere. The thing that surprises me the most is the fact that it is UNCUT. The UK release is identical to my mates American import.
I wont tell you about the scenes, I'll leave you watch the film! But look out for 'Chapter 8'.
This is the closest thing to Faces of Death that this country will ever legally see, However FOD pales in comparison to this hard-hitting film. This film will shock you, not because of the graphic images but because of the actual events that are happening in this world.
It finally looks as if the BBFC are growing up a bit in terms of censorship, and I am glad that the UK public now have a chance to view a documentary that illustrates the mess that the US is in. Viewing this video makes me appriciate the gun ban in this country. It will do the same for you.
Take heed people, dont let our country end up like this.

I watched this and felt sick to my stomach afterwards. The violence doesn't help it's appeal but is neccessary to all extents. It's like a history lesson, educating about politics, assasinations and serial murder.

I think the point of the documentary was awareness,of America's growuing menace-Violence!
