1.0 out of 5 stars A concerned reader, 23 Oct 2007
By M. Beresford (England) - See all my reviews

This review is from: The Killing Ground (Hardcover)
As an avid reader of the Sean Dillon books i was looking forward to this new book but wow! was i disapointed . Like the other reviewer i feel the author is been a bit lazy in his story lines. The plot of the book is very similar to previous books ( just how many members of the Rashid family are there??) and how many times do people come to kill the main characters and end up dead themselves. The other main gripe is the authors use of character names and scenes ie The old man in village pub who's called Harker, this senario and name has been countless times in the books.
If there is to be a new adventure for Dillon i think the plot has to be better , the characters developed , the scenes updated and the plot has to be miles better.

2.0 out of 5 stars same as before, 6 Nov 2007

This review is from: The Killing Ground (Hardcover)
both my husband and I waited for this book as we have enjoyed all the previous dillon books but this one was a big let down, very predictable, same old story,no surprises,no twists, nothing to keep you wanting to get to the end.Infact this book just stopped on the last page. However that won't stop us waiting for the next dillon book as we know how good they have been in the past.

2.0 out of 5 stars Tiresome, Repeatable., 20 Oct 2007

This review is from: The Killing Ground (Hardcover)
A very tired author. Not in the same class as his all action previous books.Sean Dillion is hardly involved.Travels at a good pace with very little fact attached.
Buy his earlier paper backs for a good read and value for money.

1.0 out of 5 stars Wooden characterisation and poor plotting
Irredeemably awful. The characters are thrown in, ten-a-penny, plot developments happen at the speed of light - often purely and obviously just to keep the story moving. Read more
