Johnny Violent delivers too many beats, too quickly AGAIN with his amazing new album KILLING GOD. An explosion of Heavly Industrial, Gabba HardCore and almost unlistenable (according to NME) tunes to blow your nosey neighbours into the NEXT millenium.

The two most notable tracks on this album are STRANGLED and MASOCHIST, both seem set over the legal limit of 220 bpm, though the rendition of PARANOID will upset the rock purists. The title track, KILLING GOD, will also upset any of the religious amongst you.

If you like your dance music a LOT harder and darker than the namby-pamby commercial pap that's riding the charts, then this album will definately not disappoint. If you're looking for a diferent album to add to your collection and don't mind your friends holding their ears for an hour, then this is the VERY one for you.

Oh, and be warned! This album contains an amount of 'adult orientated' language.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ultraviolence gets happier... but not enough ;) 4 Oct 2003
By Antiacido - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Killing God is a very good cd from Johnny Violent. Ok, It's really happier than the first cds, but isn't bad. The first Ultraviolence track i heared was "Electric Chair" (from Life Of Destructor)... it's a big jump to the new kind of songs, very (happy)-hardcore-gabber fashioned, in the style of "Adultery".

Not all tracks on this album are THAT happy-hardcore... its understandable that old fans could feel a little disappointed. It was an evolution that all could wait when we first heard "Psychodrama". This cd is good, but it gets a little annoying after a while... this is not that kind of cds you'll be hearing all your life.

Anyway, Life Of Destructor wasn't sooooooooooooooooo good, though. Hear the samples first.

5.0 out of 5 stars Let's see you dance to THIS! 29 Mar 2000

Johnny Violent once again shows his mastery of the techno-industrial sound with his Ultraviolence release "Killing God." Straying considerably from his previous "digital hard-core noise" stylings, this album presents a more tangible music sensibility. However, with tracks like "Strangled," Johnny proves that he knows what industrial REALLY is. This one is perfect for driving, dancing, and getting down to business. It speeds right up in the first track and doesn't slack off until the last track. If you are fond of his earlier recordings, with his crazy-fast beats and harsh vocals, this may not be the one for you, though.
