Product Description

"Jeff Bennington's "Killing the Giants" is entertaining, as any great read should be, and it is tense and suspenseful. But it is entirely possible that it is important too, for it enlightens and opens the eye to a wicked, soulless greed that the common inhabitant of this world cannot imagine." - Kevin Edwards

"Killing the Giants draws you into a suspense-filled drama, which pulls you to the edge of your seat and then starts twisting & turning, leaving you wanting more, and horrified about the real potential of power brokers, and the world we don't see! A great Read!" - Steve Smith, Lawyer

Do you remember the 2010 Gulf oil spill? Killing the Giants was originally published in 2009 and has many similarities that some would call prophetic.

After a series of deadly explosions at two oil facilities, the ATF sends Sarah Perkins on an investigation that takes her from Louisiana... to Canada... to New York City. What Sarah finds is anything but accidental. When the witnesses are murdered and the evidence corrupted, she discovers that Caesar, a secret society from her past is at the helm and they're more sinister than ever!

When Blake Driscole, one of the victims of the Canadian explosion, discovers that his unique skill set can take Caesar down, he plots his revenge while assisting Sarah and her team.

Killing the Giants is NOT like Mr. Bennington's supernatural thrillers. This book is geared toward those who crave conspiracy theories, secret societies and historical backdrops to modern corruption.

Early Reviews:
"Admittedly, I was astounded at the amount of insight depicted within the pages of this novel regarding the ins-and-outs of the various secret societies and how they integrate with the overall world-wide political and economic trends to favor a select few. Both of my grandfathers and father attended Yale University and I remember well the stories [albeit "facts] related by them - especially my father who was subjected to harsh acts of hazing not knowing what the end held in store for him. I would recommend this to anyone interested in learning how the other side works [i.e. upper echelons] and not look at this as total fantasy. Unfortunately, it's not!" - William Peck

5.0 out of 5 stars Killing the Giants Kills! 23 Aug 2011
By Kevin Edwards - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Two explosions, separated by thousands of miles, with hundreds of lives lost, families destroyed and communities wrecked, on the surface seem unrelated but a sinister thread connects them and offers advantage to a huge oil concern. But who is pulling the strings of manipulation? Such is the scenario to which Sarah Perkins, of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, or ATF, is called. But Sarah's journey to the ATF has been anything but a straight line. With experience both in the CIA and doing high-level, influential brainstorming at an off-the-radar think tank and coming, as she has, from the top of her class at MIT in Political Science, Sarah brings a world-view to her job that is, to say the least, unique.

The Freemasons, the Illuminati, the John Birch Society, the Elders of Zion, the Bohemian Club, the Bilderberg Group, the Giants - all have been mentioned throughout the 20th and 21st centuries as having some part in a global effort to bring about the New World Order, a totalitarian, one-world government which is to be controlled by the world's uber-rich and powerful and which will usher in a global chasm between the haves and have-nots unlike the world has ever seen. Some believe there is no such movement, that it is all conspiracy theory and fear mongering. But Sarah Perkins knows better. Sarah Perkins knows more.

How high does the deceit and murder of innocents go? Is the oil company that stands to profit from the deaths of hundreds of workers behind the acts? Or are they, too, being played by a group of Giants that have set their sight on avarice beyond comprehension, on a world unable or unwilling to fight back, on a future where a few own all and the rest are dispensable cogs in their vast machinations?

Jeff Bennington's "Killing the Giants" is entertaining, as any great read should be, and it is tense and suspenseful. But it is entirely possible that it is important too, for it enlightens and opens the eye to a wicked, soulless greed that the common inhabitant of this world cannot imagine.

4.0 out of 5 stars secret societies and plots 5 Mar 2012

In a chance I downloaded this book. The start of the book was a little slow, but as it progressed, it drew me in. The book was very intriguing. My only real criticism is that the ending just kind of stopped with no complete resolution.

3.0 out of 5 stars Preachy, Formulaic 2 Mar 2013

This book started quickly and built to a great premise but became boring and trite when we have to read through pages of lectures (preaching?) and when the final scene is a repeat of what happened earlier in the book.

The characters are well done and you identify easily with the good guys and hate the bad guys.

There were a few minor technical issues but overall, these didn't detract from reading.
