I believe Leslie Kelly is one of the very funniest writers I've ever had to pleasure of reading. Her latest book KILLING TIME reaffirms that declaration. It is a very funny book. No, in fact, it's hysterical. I laughed out loud a lot.
From the very first line in the book, "Drop your pants," I was hooked.
I love Mick Winchester, bad boy extraordinaire, and only Caro Lamb, a long lost college sweetheart from Mick's past could even attempt to tame him. The scenes with Mick and Caro together are steamy, sexy and satisfying. Leslie knows exactly how to accelerate and maintain the angst between her hero and heroine.
The reality television concept set in a small town is very funny, lending itself to all sorts of interesting characters and situations. Also the imagery in KILLING TIME is incredible. I feel like I'm standing in the room with the characters as Leslie weaves the story around me. It is sexy and touching and funny and even has an excellent mystery woven in to boot.
I always try to savor Leslie's books when I get them, but I end up tearing through them ignoring all around me until I'm finished. KILLING TIME is no exception. It is the very definition of engaging. I couldn't put it down until I found out who-done-it.
Leslie Kelly is a Must read author and KILLING TIME is most assuredly a Must read book. Thanks Leslie for yet another awesome read.
