Product Description

A collection of short stories that take you on a roller coaster ride of emotion. You may find yourself caring about a monster, or hating someone who is picture perfect. You never know what people's motives truly are until you get the story from their point of view.

1. Hindsight is the first person account of a killer's creation and lifetime of bad deeds and regrets. Tommy Horton is set to die by the needle in 5 days, but he has a few things that he needs to tell you first.

2. Killing Two Birds... is the story of an extremely unlucky woman. A somewhat cautionary tale, showing us all how easy it is to become a victim.

3. Mommy is pure horror fun. By all accounts, Lori is a perfect Mother. She worships her two little angels, but while they are at school, she has a whole life of her own.

4. Killers Anonymous tells the story of a group of recently paroled murderers that are forced to attend counseling. They all want to move on with their lives, with the exception of one. Find out who will prevail in this battle of wit and will.

This collection has approximately 22,000 words.

I love it when I come across an author that I have previously unheard of and that author turns out to be amazing. This is what I felt when I read Ms Sutton's book. My favourite type of horror is the stuff that really could happen...stuff like murderers, serial killers, madness etc. This book satisfied all that I love about horror. Since the purchase of my Kindle I am finding more and more female horror writers that give the male horror writers a run for their money. Before getting my Kindle, my thoughts on female horror authors were very stereotypical and I felt that only men could truly write in the blood thirsty fashion that I enjoy. ( Totally stereotypical, I know!!). Poppy Z Brite was my only female horror writer of choice. However, there seems to be an upsurge of ladies now pushing the boundaries in the horror genre, and my stereotypical views have vanished. Ms Sutton takes you sickeningly into the minds of various killers. She is in the same league as Billie Sue Mosiman and Monica O'Rourke. Would love to see a collaboration if these three ladies. Bet I wouldn't sleep for a month. I am not going to say too much about the stories as I don't want to give the stories away. I especially liked the second one in the collection. It really made me think about the dangers of social networking sites and is a lesson to us all! Well written with great twists. Ms Sutton sure knows how to tell a great story. Off to get more of her work now.

4.0 out of 5 stars Killers is a Killer read 2 Nov 2011
By Guerra
Format:Kindle Edition
This book has 4 really, really good short stories of pure horror, gore, and just plain evil. The first story, Killing two birds....,was a little strange but if you follow the story and don't assume, the twist at the end really gets you thinking. The second story, Hindsight, was my ultimate favorite. When you start reading you think that the story is full of typos, but the beauty of the the story is that it's told in the first person, the killer was not very educated. He's telling his story in the last couple of days before his death sentence is carried out. The author does a masterful job at conveying the sorrow and frustrations that have led up to the killer's choices in life. The third story, Mommy, was absolutely gory and psychotic. Mommy is your average soccer mom, who's taken the plunge off the nutty bridge and knows that a knife is for more than cooking. The fourth, Killers Anonymous, is pure genius. Join the new program to rehabilitate killers and introduce them back into society...that's until something goes horribly wrong. The four stories have a twist, they are written from the point of view of the Killer. Really good, fast read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Scary Good 29 Dec 2011

This book of shorts is an interesting look at the character of people who kill. All of the stories are so different that if I didn't know any better I would have said this was an anthology. Ms. Sutton has the ability to pull you from the comfort of your special reading place into the twisted minds of some of the most imaginative characters of bad repute that I have encountered in some time.
This book is definitely worth every penny of the asking price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ya gotta wonder! 8 Feb 2012
By Jerry W. McKinney - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Christine Sutton brings out her killer instict and treats us with four tales of homicide. The first is the portrait of a death row inmate and his difficult trail to his situation ... and his solution. The second is a serial killer rapist who goes the extra mile to enjoy his quarry .. but is he too late? The third is a mother you would love to see but better keep your distance! The fourth, (My favorite) is a group of killers looking to find peace in a group, but there is a problem.
Sutton gives us a look through her killers eyes. Ya gotta wonder.

5.0 out of 5 stars Killers Are People, Too...... 3 Oct 2011

though you may not always agree with their methods (and they are methodical, most of the time) of slicing, dicing, shooting, garroting the rest of us for whatever reasons they harbor in their minds. Driven along the lines of potentially insane desires, every killer has their reason of committing that ultimate act of ending a human life. It all adds up to the act of killing and that is what Christine Sutton looks at in these four stories centering around killers. Killing Two Birds...looks at the college version of Stalking 101 with those gratifying results. Hindsight is a jewel of a story, the confession of a professed killer on Death Row. Some deaths, never had to happen - why did they push him? The others were pure pleasure, except for the moments of craziness where they just happened to be in the way. Mommy is a widow of two boys who spends her free time clearing the world of lusty cheaters. Killers Anonymous: should any P.O. (parole officer, to you) suggest I attend such a meeting, I think I will opt for the metal bars and forego the shortening of my prison sentence. The four stories in this volume from the mind of Christine Sutton will make you think twice about the people and yes they are human and inhumane, depending how you look at it. Christine Sutton is a voice making herself known and you should definitely watch out for her voice in the future. P.S., future victims, watch out for the surprise endings. Things are not always as they seem.
