I received this book to review and I really enjoyed it. This is book 3 in the Arctic6 series but can be read as a standalone.
We have a group of kids like kids are today, into their gadgets and gizmos and have already been on a couple of ops (prev books - Killer Strangelets and Killer Genes). a mysterious man invites them to go an adventure and are drawn into a web of spies, secrets, lies and conspiracies. A group of scientists have possibly created a new source of energy , but are the risks to the people of earth too great? The group are drawn deeper in and a terrible choice has to be made, but at what cost?
The book is enjoyable and fun to read. There's quite a bit of science in it but not too much to put the young reader off. Quite informative without being too much of a physics lesson. Takes me back to the Saturday morning kids club at the movies. I can highly recommend this book for age 10 and up, younger readers with some adult supervision

C.T. Furlong once again has managed to inspire me with her fantastic novels. Killer Star not only describes what the character is but you feel like the character, all of C.T. Ferlongs books are unique, indicating each and every characters feeling easily. I am sure it will not only inspire me but it will inspire all children who read it.
