Our 10 year old loves Anthony Horowitz and was delighted with this book, even had me reading it too!
There are two tales in the paperback both not too long but full of suspense, The Killer Camera tells the tale of a camera bought at a carboot sale, the ending, not quite what I was expecting, even better.
The Computer tale, well makes you look at your own in a different light.
For the price for two tales of horror a good one.
This book got read in one day (well one morning as our son just couldn't put the book down). Then told me just how good it was that I then ended up reading it. He is now on another one which features a Victorian bath, so looking forward to reading that next.
What I will say though is that your youngester will be able to read horror but without any really horrific or bad language in it, which does not spoil the stories as they are told in a way that even adults would appreciate, I know I did. A bit like 'Tales of the Unexpected' a tv show that was on a good few years back, has you guessing, and just wondering if there will be a twist or not. Just goes to show that swearing and graphic violence are not always needed to create a great read.
