Product Description

CD Description

DJ Muggs is one of the industry s most talented and best known producers.Since Cypress Hill s formation in 1991,the pioneering rap-rock quartet has come a long way from the streets of South Central L.A. Over the course of its 19-year history, Cypress Hill has sold more than 17 million albums worldwide, including more than 11 million records in the U.S. alone. Muggs has established a precedent for working hand in hand with artists and creating cohesive bodies of work, rather then spreading around beats from project to project. This rings true once again on Kill Devil Hills: I prefer getting in the lab and actually creating projects with people instead of just sending out beat CDs. Ill Bill was a founding member of Non Phixion who released their seminal debut, The Future Is Now, in 2002 and has also released two influential solo LP s. Bill has also released an LP as a member of the bi-coastal conglomerate La Coka Nostra (which also includes Everlast, Danny Boy and DJ Lethal of House Of Pain and newcomer Slaine). Ill Bill s The Hour Of Reprisal (2008) showed flashes of what the future would hold, as Bill & Muggs collaborated on two tracks ( This Is Who I Am & Only Time Will Tell ) for Bill s most recent solo-LP

Ok but not the best! 13 Jan 2011

Probably my own fault but I wanted this album to be so much more better. Big fan of DJ Muggs and a fan of Ill Bill so expectations were very high and I dont think it lives up to those. Couple of good tracks but there are also a couple of fillers. To me Muggs & Bill work on some level but maybe Muggs beats are too dark for Ill Bill. Not a bad thing on Bill, he's an excellent hip hop emcee in his own right with some savage dark rhymes but it just doesn't work (for me anyway!). Nowhere near as good as Muggs v Sick Jacken (Legend Of Mask & The Assassin). Dont get me wrong its not a bad purchase but dont pay too much. Maybe after a few more listens it might be a grower...........if it is I will re-review. Edit I have listened to it more and still it only gets 3 stars. It is ok but only for fans in my opinion

Muggs is a Beast 12 Feb 2011

This album was awesome, the beats were sick. The production was top notch and all rappers to contribute came through.

DJ MUGGS is perfect! Ill Bill kills it! 2 Oct 2010

read other people's reviews. All I am going to say is that this is a dream pairing. When people talk about best west coast producers, they always mention Dr Dre and Quik. But, hit for hit, I think MUGGS may beat them both.

ill Bill Kills The Devil...Sick Jacken & B Real Take part in Slaughter! 31 Aug 2010
By J. Cheatham - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
ill Bill is a difficult artist to produce due to his unordinary word usage, content, and rapid fire flow. DJ Muggs is a producer who is always looking for a challenge to produce artist who are not typical/difficult artist such as(Muggs vs Genius, Sick Jacken and now ill Bill., That being said ill Bill and Muggs create a dark, grim horrific portrait of a world where the end of days are here and thier is nothing we can do about it-("Abandon all hope, buy more guns and more coke, build a bunker under your home, its all over, before the C.I.A comes and takes us away, I'll be lighting up the kush and go out in a blaze")-lyrics from Amputated Saints.A lot of you will here the album and expect more because of the novelty on paper of Bill and Muggs union but need to soak up the album with 3 listen's before judging it. The song "Trouble Shooters" begins with an ill Bill flow so sick it reminds me of Kool G. Rap in his prime which Bill is a major fan of. Sick Jacken spit a verse/flow so wicked, it stayed with me hours later after hearing it. B real has a new battery in his back since this album which shows that creating music is motivation and some people need each other to create great music. This album unlike many has great replay value like all of Bills albums. Listen to the cd 3 times before judging it and you will love it.

PS. Sean Price and O.C dont do songs with any artist which proves how proven and respected ill Bill is to hip hop.
