I wasn't sure what to expect, but this book has turned out absolutely wonderful!
It is beautifully illustrated with some musical puzzles and pictures to colour.
This book explains the basics of music in a way that is easily understood by young kids.
What I find absolutely outstanding is that the notes are lettered,i.e. they have written the letters within the notes in the music pieces. This is brilliant as it makes the children "read" the music as well as "memorise" what each note is.
Below the notes you have a colour-coding bar which indicates the length or value of each note (long/short), and these colours correspond with the colours of the keyboard stickers that are supplied with this book.
This is an amazing book, it allows children to learn to play an instrument straight away whilst learning the basics of musics.
My son has really enjoyed this book so far!

This book is brill! the best bit is the stickers for the keys - kids were finding it really hard to pick up until the colour and letter coded stickers were on. It made it soooo much easier to follow, now were all playing. The songs are good old fashioned that both kids and adults know and with step by step instructions.

Fantastic book for beginners.
