Product Description

Does your child eat too many sweets and you find it hard to change?

Such is the problem of our hero, Sweet Pete, a happy little bunny who only likes to eat sweets. Lots and lots of sweets. But one day something magical and very strange happens and Pete realizes that sweets are not so sweet after all!

***# 1 Best Seller in children's Rabbit Books***

"Books like this are pretty darn useful for helping the little ones realize that eating only sweets is not a good idea, and the younger they are when we start talking to them about it, the better. This is a nicely done kid's book with lovely illustrations and a good message. Pick it up." 5 STAR review By Oleg Medvedkov ( top 500 reviewer).

"It's a good lesson for kids to learn early in life. With soaring rates of childhood obesity and juvenile diabetes, kids need to be aware of the consequences of a diet loaded with sugar, and stories like "Sweet Pete and the Magical Cookie Jar" may help to deliver that message in a way that kids can understand." By 5 STAR review by J. Chambers (hall of fame reviewer, top 10 reviewer).

This entertaining book for preschool age and beginner readers illustrates the problem of over-indulging in sweets and offers the alternatives of healthy eating and delayed gratification in a way that young children can understand and internalize.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pete Loves Sweets! 16 Aug 2013

Oh, Pete! He loves sweets so much! Reminds me of a number of little ones I know, particularly my godson, who got a real kick out of Pete learning his lesson about eating too many sweets. Didn't stop my godson from hitting the cookie jar right after. But he loved the story!

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely kid's book with a good message 14 Aug 2013
By Oleg Medvedkov - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Pete is a happy little bunny who lives in a little yellow house with blue windows with his family. What he likes most in life, unfortunately, is to eat sweets. Lots and lots of them. His mother cannot convince him to eat healthier food, no matter how much she tries.

One day, Pete falls asleep after eating too many sweets at his friend's birthday party. A Magical Cookie Jar comes to him in a dream and offers Pete anything he wants. Of course, Pete wants more sweets! But the tricky Magical Jar turns that dream sour. And fishy and old socks -tasting.

Pete the bunny is cured of eating only sweets, but is your kid? My oldest nephew has a sweet tooth. When he sees those little round pops they sell at Strarbucks, he goes ballistic. And after he eats it, he just keeps on bouncing. We get into some heated discussions with him about eating sweets, but four year olds do have a knack for winning most verbal arguments.

Books like this are pretty darn useful for helping the little ones realize that eating only sweets is not a good idea, and the younger they are when we start talking to them about it, the better. This is a nicely done kid's book with lovely illustrations and a good message. Pick it up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Recommendation and reading experience for the children's book "Sweet Pete And the Magical Cookie Jar" 29 July 2013
By heli brook - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The children's book, "Sweet Pete And the Magical Cookie Jar",is the kind of book that I can see myself reading again and again. This book instantly brought me back to childhood, to the sounds of children's laughing and colored fantasies.
the writer took an issue that can be very disturbing for people, and made it all so simple and clear.
Beyond the ability of the author to humanize animals in such creative ways, these make the characters easy to identify with, especially the character of Pete.
The story is written in a light-hearted humor, and in the language that is at eye level.

I highly recommend the children's book,"Sweet Pete And the Magical Cookie Jar", for parents, whom their kids insist on eating certain food like sweets, and are not ready to consider other healthy foods.
Moreover, I greatly endorse the book for both parents, who are looking for a story that
on one-hand has a positive light;and on the other hand, it conveys and produces thinking and insights. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars A Sweet Lesson 30 Aug 2013
By StevieV - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
A child's most delectable delight can be an utter fright. Sweet Pete And The Magical Cookie Jar by Maria Alony tells a cautionary tale of what happens when Pete the rabbit gets all the candy he wants to eat, and the consequences that ensue. It's a delightful story that both parents and children can appreciate, especially if a child can avoid the pain and suffering that comes from stuffing their bellies with too many sweets. Rather than your child having to go through that experience, sit down with them and enjoy this story with its fun, vivid illustrations and a simple, yet effective message that will not only teach them a lesson, but spare them the grief that comes with eating too many sweets.
