I wish I could give this book 6 stars.The recipes are simple, tasty and the ones I have tried - which are many! - are pretty much foolproof. There are some that are good for younger kids, and some for the older ones, but most importantly they make me feel like I am a terrific baker! Bread, Pizza, muffins, cakes, all have turned out really well. I have had this book for two years (maybe more now) and one summer we actually made our own bread twice a week from it, it is so good.
The chocolate cake is made with sunflower oil rather than butter, for example. Easier for a child to mix and (a bit) better for the heart. I have made it over and over and never had a dud. That is just one of them, the other recipes I've tried have been equally reliable and easy, and I use it myself now. No more fear of the cake sale or school party, this book makes you feel like a professional!
