This is the best childrens cook book i have used. The recipes are sensible,no silly faces on baked potatoes, delicious and of all the ones we have cooked (and it is alot)they have without exception worked, there is nothing more off putting for a child for their hard work to end up tasting rubbish. The instructions are clear and unfussy, i credit this book with teaching my child the basics of baking. Initally at age 6 she required close supervision but now at nearly 8 she is able to master most recipies single handed. An excellent book and a must for all mums who want to teach their childern to cook. Please can we have one on washing up too.

I saw this book at nursery and loved it so much I bought one myself! Full of yummy recipes which you can make and interact with your child to introduce them to home cooking! Beautifully illustrated and easy to follow instructions. Highly recommended book.

If I could have given this book 4 and a half stars then I would have done, purely because there are a lot of recipes that involve fruit which is great if you like that but there are a lot of people who don't. I thought maybe some of these fruit ones could be substituted with some other more common children's baking recipes so there was more variety.

But apart from that all the recipes are very well laid out and easy to follow. There is still a range of different things that you can try with your children so I cannot fault it on that. There is also lots of help at the start of the book on "creaming" and "melting" and other such techniques needed for baking. As well as this you can find information on using equipment (eg. microwave) and some safety tips and stuff too. Very useful for both you and your child.

I wish I could give this book 6 stars. The recipes are simple, tasty and the ones I have tried - which are many! - are pretty much foolproof. There are some that are good for younger kids, and some for the older ones, but most importantly they make me feel like I am a terrific baker! Bread, Pizza, muffins, cakes, all have turned out really well. I have had this book for two years (maybe more now) and one summer we actually made our own bread twice a week from it, it is so good.

The chocolate cake is made with sunflower oil rather than butter, for example. Easier for a child to mix and (a bit) better for the heart. I have made it over and over and never had a dud. That is just one of them, the other recipes I've tried have been equally reliable and easy, and I use it myself now. No more fear of the cake sale or school party, this book makes you feel like a professional!

This is a great baking book- too good for just the children. The recipes are lovely and fool-proof and include a great range of cakes, biscuits and tray-bakes. They are also grouped into different categories to include loaf cakes, special occasion etc etc. Totally recommend this book and was really pleased to find it on Amazon having trawled around a few book shops.

This is a lovely book. I bought it on the recommendation of my friend. The recipes are easy to follow. I tried most of the recipes (I use the book not only with the kids, but also when we have friends over)and they all turn out exactly how they are supposed to be. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. Money well spent
