Well this product has not changed and is looking pretty odd in the context of powerful and fast computers of today. It still has the clunky small screen and the graphics are very low res.. My daughter likes it in combination with her small graphics tablet. She is 5 years old. We have a cheap colour laser printer and the combination of the laptop, tablet and printer is pretty satifying. That is the ideal. Without the tablet I would be harder to use the software and with out the printer... well... Because the images are linked to the sounds and the protocal of the software it limits what you can do with the images. For instance you can't import a photograph to work on. I don't think you can export your images to another programme. Kid Pix was a great addition to pixel-based drawing experience of children at one time. Ground breaking in fact. Now it's been left behind by much higher expectations and much more powerful hardware.
