This very strong and touching video gives an insight in the problems of raising a child with ADHD and finding help and understanding in education or health care. It is very informative for those professionally involved with children.
Although not every child with ADHD is the same, behaves like young Danny in this film, it gives a good picture of a life with ADHD. It shows ADHD not only affects the life of the child involved, but affects the entire family life.

Kid In The Corner is an excellent TV drama about Danny,a boy with behavioural difficulties whose parents try to discover the causes of his condition.Does the fault lie with the parents themselves or is it a medical problem? The relationships between the parents(played by Douglas Henshall and Clare Holman) and their two children Danny(Eric Byrne)and Lucy(Brooke Kinsella)are portrayed very realistically with some clever dialogue.Although the drama is at times very harrowing,there are some humorous and touching moments e.g. the football game between Danny and his Dad. The final conclusions will be controversial to everyone involved with children like Danny, but the drama does explore many possibilities. Kid In The Corner was probably one of the best TV drama's of 1999 and is well worth seeing.
