I am a beginner in martial arts and wanted something for conditioning and training at home. I didnt have the space for a heavy punch bag and considered alternatives such as free stands or the dummies that look like men, a majority cost over £200 easily. I bought this, filled it with sand and beat it up pretty bad and it is very durable. I currently have mine hanging from a wardrobe door and just hang the eyelets over the top.
It is great for punching but I would not recommend heavy strikes because remember the wall is behind it (especially elbow strikes). Although i would recommend buying a book from Amazon on how to use the bag called 'Dynamic Wall Bag Training Guide' by Gwangung, having reead it after my first use i learnt a lot about strikes and conditioning drills.
