Before buying this book I had always wanted to try kick boxing and thought this book would be a good introduction to the discipline. The first section of the book tells you the advantages of why the regimes in this book are good for your fitness and how you can motivate yourself. It then goes on to cover each of the basic moves in turn, the punches and kicks. There is also a comprehensive section on warming up cooling down, with stretches included. The workouts themselves are great. One for upper body, lower body, abdominal, stress buster and fat burner. I usually do the upper body and abdominal ones. When performing the workouts you can vary the speed, intensity or amount to suit your level. All in all it's a fun indoor workout if you fancy something different from the usual sit ups etc. You never know, those kicks and punches could even come in handy! Finally at the end of the book there is a section on how to eat healthily to compliment your fitness. I'm really glad I bought this book.

I loved this book for the inspiration it gave me I still think its best to have a dvd (or classes) for this sort of thing so you can see someone doing it properly as well but if you want to get inspired its a good read. The pictures are good at illustrating the moves and stances and it goes a bith more in depth than most instructional dvds probably do.

A very good book with photos of each movement and good explaination of haow to do each excercise. It was easy to follow the step by step guide and found it most fun.
