I recently moved back home from university and being a bit short on space I decided to use my TV as a monitor and buy a wireless keyboard with a track pad. After much deliberation I decided on the KeySonic ACK-540 RF+ Keyboard.
First impressions were good, out of the box it looked good and the soft touch plastic felt good and tactile, although the keys don't have the same feel of quality.
For the most part the keyboard has worked well, however there are a few niggles that spoil an otherwise good product.
-There's no light to say whether the Num Lock or the Caps Lock, is on or off which can be frustrating. This is a particular problem if your computer has a password and you have to sign in as for some reason it is seemingly impossible to turn off the Num Lock until the computer is on. I found it easier to remove the password instead of plugging in my old keyboard each time I restart my computer.
-If you leave the keyboard switched on but not in use for a while (around 15 minutes), it disconnects itself from the computer. You then have to switch it off and on again usually once or twice for it to reconnect.
-Occasionally it misses out letters as you type which can be frustrating.
-I have found the battery life to be okay as it has only just flashed up with the low battery warning light after about a month of use.
All in all not brilliant but not terrible. Just a few niggles let down an otherwise good product.
