I bought this keyboard simply because I really needed a new keyboard. But I also wanted something that would be decent for gaming. Obviously when it comes to gaming, for most people having a good mouse is more important than having a good keyboard, which is why most avid gamers go for Logitech's MX518 or G500. But keyboards do have a certain level of importance, and a lot of the demand for keyboards lies in older IBM and Dell models that are described to have 'Clacky' keys. Just this feature alone enables these much older models to be sold at higher prices, because they're just as responsive as today's keyboards, but you can get a better feel for typing. I have to say, even after reading some of the good reviews this keyboard got, I was just a little apprehensive. I was pretty worried that it would be adequate, but still nothing special, and that it will have made no improvement to my gaming experience.
Well I have to say, it's great. The keys do have a nice 'Clacky' feel, and it feels good to type with. The keyboard is simplistic in design, it doesn't have any extra plastic round the edges causing it to feel clunky, it's moulded in a perfectly rectangular shape and it doesn't have any parts that stick out (other than where the LED lights and brand logo are, obviously). This might be a little strange if you wanted a short review on this product's functionality, but I was actually pleased to see it has blue lights for the capslock and numslock! They look so cool.
You really can't go wrong with this keyboard if you're looking for something cheap and good. I think that I'll buy another one of these if I need a keyboard in the future. It feels nice to type with. It's just everything you need, and I don't think you can go wrong for the price!
