If you are trying to revise for your science SATS, this book will make the process emmensly less painful. It gives you revision plans and questions at the end of each topic so you are confident when it comes to the dreaded day of the exam. I reccomend it to any 13-14 year old who want to to make the most of their intelligence (or at least their parents do!).

Extensive practice for the KS3 National Test is afforded by this book. Extracts from fiction and non-fiction cover areas such as descriptive writing, arguing, persuasive and letter writing, poetry appreciation, emotive writing, etc. Students are guided through the passages, and suggestions as to what to focus on in their own creative and informative essays are given. Basic sentence structures and paragraphing are also dealt with.
