Filmed at Glasgow's SECC on Saturday 6th October, this was Bridges at his best again. His material was slightly different this time around, touching on religion, politics and football; three topics you would typically avoid on a night out in this fair city. His surprise guest at the close of the show brought the house down, but I'll not tell you who that was, you'll need to buy the DVD to find out.

Back home to Glasgow, recorded during one of his 8 consecutive sold-out nights at the SECC , Kevin really is naturally funny guy, without the need for rude jokes or any stage props. You never tire of his jokes and on stage he has confidence and a professional deliverance .

You will observe how he effortlessly connects well with his audience . I first seen him a smaller venue in Glasgow, The Tron Theatre before he appeared on tv and became an overnight success, he is famous now, but he really isn't big headed for all his fame. In this (his 2nd stand up DVD), the jokes come thick and fast, so if you were unable to get to any of his shows during his tour, his DVD will go down a treat . As humour goes he is unique and quite brilliant.

Don't get me wrong - Kevin Bridges is one of my favourite comedians - he is a breath of fresh air in fact. At 25 years of age, he has delivered a lot in a very short space of time. His first DVD was fantastic - confident, edgy, very funny. This follow up DVD just seems lacklustre compared with its predecessor. From the lazy opening titles to Kevin wandering onto the stage, the whole thing just seems weak. At 60 minutes, it's also pretty brief as well. There aren't the clever gags he had in his first show, he seems to meander through a load of observational comedy that it not that great. He also seems, or comes across, as 'tired'.

The pressure on these guys to be constantly funny will be immense but I would advise him to take his time over the next release and try playing to a more intimate audience rather than the aircraft hanger he was standing in. Bigger isn't always better. Still think he is fantastic though. This is just a blip.

This guy has everything going for him: his Scottish accent, the boy-next-door look, great material and perfect delivery. This is a comedian you've got to love, no question about it. If you loved him at Live At The Apollo, you will definately not be disappointed by this feature!

Kevin Bridges gets it spot on with his Glasgow based brand of humour. The DVD is was shot in Glasgow and so the humour is slanted towards his life there. However, don't be put off by this - the comedy is very generic but there are some subtle things that you'll get if you've lived/grown up around Glasgow.

His stories of sitting on a bus or walking down Sauchiehall Street as a student are funny because they are true. I've experienced the same myself. The local variations of words like "Dogging" are sure to confuse but he explains things well.

I think all celebrity interviews should end with the classic "Didjya?!? Aye!"

His style is definitely observational comedy and very much like a modern Billy Connolly (who I think is hilarious too). Both have that great Glasgow wit and cynicism.

I bought this for my son who has moved to the USA, to Washington State. We have family in Glasgow, he lived there a while and went to Uni in Glasgow. He really enjoyed it, although his American friends needed interpretation and cultural explanations!
