We bought this trike for our grand daughter aged 2 3/4 who announced she wanted a pink bike. after trawling through hundreds of pink bikes we found this one. Our grand daughter loves the bike and there is a basket at the back where she can keep her handbag, sunglasses and pebble collection! It took two sessions for her to be able to peddle it and now we dont need to use the handle bit at all she loves it a lot. the trike is sturdy, and very pink. It took a while to assemble it and the instructions were not very clear. We made much better progress on abandoning the instructions and using our own screwdriver.

I bought this trike for my 2 year old daughter at christmas. The good thing was that it was mostly assembled already. However a problem soon became apparent... there is nothing to hold the handlebars in place properly just a washer, even if you tighten it to the max (this was done by my partner who is a fireman) it slips almost straight away so it is impossible for a child to steer. The pedals are also a very strange oval shape and the childs feet slip off very easy, you have to wonder who designed this product... Very very poor design and not the quality I expected for the money I spent. I decided to spend more on a trike to get one with rubber tire treads and a sturdy design. This trike looks great and is very solid. However, the handlebar problem makes the product useless. We eventually put a screw through the hole in the handlebar post in the hope it would hold the handlebars more securely, it has held it in place just enough for my daughter to be able to ride it however the handlebars still move several inches at each side making it impossible for her to steer. I would not recommend this product, despite it handsome looks it just should not have been put on the market with this design.

The tricycle is fine to put together if you’re someone who is used to fixing things and figuring things out. We tried to lay each piece out beside the list of componets but it was confusing as some of the bolts and screws were already in place. There is a little steel pin about 1cm long and less than ½ cm in diameter with rounded ends in the bag that isn’t illustrated or mentioned at all in the instructiuons. It dawned on us that this is maybe where the people who couldn’t stop the handlebars swivelling had gone wrong. Once the handlebars have been slotted into the shaft of the forks, the metal pin then has to be slotted into a hole which goes through the handlebar shaft and the main shaft crossways. This aligns the handlebars and then you bolt on the metal collar around the shaft to cover the pin and stop it coming out. The black plastic cone/collar goes on first onto the handlebar stem. this covers the metal collar when you've finished. It looks great now and I know my granddaughter will love it at Christmas.
