Kenzo Amour is a gentle and sensual fragrance, the dreamy and aromatic journey to Asia. The perfume starts with soft and attractive aroma of Frangipani blossom which possess a very fine almond-like aroma. The smell of these plants fascinated one of the two creators of this perfume, Daphne Bugey, during her visit to Indonesia. Of course, the Far East cannot be imagined without Japanese cherry blossom. From Japan we travel to China. The heart structures very comfortable and soft aromas of Chinese white tea. The composition continues with thin milky aroma of Thailand rice, and to the beautiful base which contains woodsy, balsamic, and musky notes, and vanilla. Mysterious incense spreads on skin in all its nuances: nice wooden note and bitterly ranis interlace with soft and powdery note of Burman Tanaka wood with aroma reminiscent of sandalwood and amber. The arrangement ends with sweet and soft vanilla, clearly eminent in the base. Kenzo Amour was shaped by Daphne Bugey and Olivier Cresp in 2005. Designer Kenzo has over 50 fragrance in there selection. The earliest edition was created in 1978 and the newest is from 2012. Kenzo fragrances were made in partnership with perfumers Sophie Labbe, Daphne Bugey, Alberto Morillas, Olivier Cresp, Sophia Grojsman, Francoise Caron, Maurice Roucel, Olivier Polge, Francois Demachy, Dominique Ropion, Antoine Lie, Christine Nagel, Benoit Lapouza, Christian Mathieu, Aurelien Guichard, Annick Menardo, Daniela Roche-Andrier, Ilias Ermenidis, Jacques Cavallier, Sonia Constant, Marie Salamagne, Francis Kurkdjian and Jean Jacques.

Love at first scent!
This is an amazingly complex, yet subtle fragrance. It can be worn all year round, though autumn and winter seem most suited for this scent.
It is a woodsy, musky scent with understones of vanilla. It has a nice lasting power. It can also be layered with other lighter fragrances (I love layering). I have layered this with Pomegranate Anise by Fresh, and Eau de Hadrien by Annick Goutal.
I just love this fragrance, and get so many compliments. I have given this a gifts as well.

I first got a sample of this perfume from Sephora and I instantly fell in love (Amour). I have always gravitated to more spicy fragrances, shunning the overtly floral but this particular scent is a nice medium of both spicy and floral. I didn't buy it from Sephora, I found a better deal from another Amazon vendor.
