We were in need of a new kettle and spent a few weeks looking. We're picky ;)
We wanted something slightly retro, well made and easy to clean. The problem with many of the retro-styled kettles is the opening at the top is very very small, which makes cleaning inside an absolutely PITA. We chose the Kenwood because it met all of our criteria. It's easy to clean (with removable filter too), you can get your hand into the kettle without too much difficulty. It's retro looking, the colour is lovely and it looks very smart. Thirdly, it happens to be well made - more so than we expected. Overall we're VERY pleased with this kettle, the ONLY downside is the relatively small capacity, 1.25L. . Given our toaster is on the blink we're considering eventually getting the kMix toaster too :)

Initially I was really chuffed with this kettle as on looks it is lovely and really traditional for an old style kitchen. However, I am now on my 2nd one, which is a replacement for the first which rusted inside and around the lid. I was given the exchange which has now done exactly the same. They tried to tell me to wipe around the lid so it didn't collect, which did nothing but annoy me as correct me if I am wrong but a kettle is for filling up with water. So not happy am afraid, as it cannot do your health any good drinking water from a rusty kettle. Am looking for something else now to replace it with.

I love this kettle! It's very stylish - fits in great with my traditional style kitchen. It's a great colour - the red is not bright, more of a traditional colour. I dont think it's noisy at all and holds enough water for my needs. Some reviews have said the capacity is not good but i can get 4 cups from it which is plenty. I would recommend it highly.

Good looks but a very noisy boiler
This kettle looks fantastic and has a nice comfy grip handle. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because of the racket it causes when boiling, it really is quite bad.
