Raise a toast to this new retro-inspired Kenwood semi-professional stainless steel toaster. Bringing contemporary design to breakfast time, this toaster combines high performance function with serviceable elements so you can easily add a stylish touch to your home. The TT940 features 4 deep and extra wide slots, perfect for busy mornings in family homes. It comes in stylish brushed stainless steel.

The toaster features a turning dial to control how long the bread is toasted for, and thus the colour of your toast, as well as a manual ejector lever allowing the toast to stay warm until depressed. The design incorporates 2 folding sandwich cages and a 2 or 4 slot toasting function. The SureGrip lever and sandwich cage handles and illuminated selector switch makes this toaster as safe as it is stylish.

The toaster has a slide out crumb tray and audible timer function. The extra wide slots allow for toasting of a variety of thicknesses of breads or bagels.

    A straight forward, no nonsense toaster. Cooks evenly and makes nice crispy toast. The timer ticks whilst toasting which is a good safety measure and pings when the toast is done. The manual lever allows you to keep the toast warm. Does 2 or 4 slots during a toasting session.

    The only slight downside is the slots are fairly wide so it's not ideal for thin toast, but works well with medium and thicker slices as well as crumpets and other products.

    Definitely worth the money. I reckon I'll be using this toaster for many years to come.

    After the demise of another cheap toaster I decided to go for a better quality product and read a couple of Kenwood TT940 reviews. The reviews did not lie...

    This is serious military grade kitchenware! High grade brushed stainless steel, though a very slight surprise was the plastic under-chassis, however, this too is military grade and very well vented.

    The controls are very simple and by doing away with a pop up device and leaving it to a manual lifting lever- (great for checking the browning by the way, as raising the bread does not switch the toaster off) together with a clockwork timer that pings when finished and easily adjusted while toasting, you have about as bomb proof modern kitchen ware as you could wish for. Choose from two or four heating slots and that's it.

    I have used it & It works very well.
    Very consistent browning.
    5 star domestic toast

    Advice- forget the included sandwich toasting accessories - melted cheese in any toaster is a fire disaster waiting to happen. Kenwood even warn against this in their manual. Why include these two odd looking sandwich clamps and encourage this? Stick to unfilled bread, croissants, bagels, etc. and pass this work of art onto your grandchildren.

    I agree with previous reviews, this toaster consistently gives an even toasting on each slice, and the toast can stand on upright to toast. width wise it will take the thickest slices as a normal slice(medium) has almost too much room. this toaster looks fantastic it has a non fussy functional appearance that looks great with my other brushed steel appliances.Countdown timer has a good old fashioned tick to it.

    There you go I've reviewed a toaster my life is complete!!!
