I have had more expensive kettles with lids that pop up using a lever and the lid kept breaking; I didn't need or want pretty lights to tell me when it was boiling - basically I wanted a straightforward, robust design with a pull off lid that would just boil water! This does the job and is sturdy and pleasant looking, and at a good price. I've since bought one for the office, and my colleague has ordered one after using the office one. I wouldn't say it was that noisy, the capacity is generous and it's quick to boil. Highly recommended.

A lovely Kettle in every way. Nice looking and easy to use. The water measure is in a prominent position unlike other kettles we have owned. Not too noisy when switched on. Fast boiling.

The kettle arrived quickly, looks nice and pours well. But I think that it is the noisiest kettle that I have ever owned!

Leaked after 18 months

Fine while it lasted
The kettle was fine for seven months but then something went wrong with the plug and it blew a fuse when I switched it on. I tried two more fuses but it blew each of those too. Read more
