A useful piece of equipment - for a couple of months anyway.,
This review is from: Kenwood Multi Pro Compact FP220 Food Processor, White (Kitchen & Home)
September 2009. I bought this to replace an older Kenwood of a similar size and I like the fact that there is a separate blender attachment for the same base, which I didn't have before. It is quite noisy to use - more of a high pitched scream than the old one and during the half dozen times I have used it, it emits a slightly strange smell, which I hope is just the motor settling in (and not it about to burn out!!!). The blades and attachments are easily slotted in and are easy to wash up. For the price, it seems to do a good job.Update 9 months later: The motor died during some unchallenging pastry making. If you want a machine that lasts longer than a few months, look elsewhere!

I wanted a processor that was small enough to leave out so that it would get plenty of use but big enough that doing soup wouldnt be a complete nightmare! This fits the bill. I use it just about every day to chop veg up... the up side is i use more veg in cooking, whihch has to be a good thing.! It also doesnt take up much space in the kitchen! Its also made a few lovely soups as well. Easy to take apart/ put together and use as well. Definately recommended!! The booklet only has a few recipes but is designed to tell you more whats possible with it. A little downside!

Small capacity bowl,
By Honey (Somerset , England) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Kenwood Multi Pro Compact FP220 Food Processor, White (Kitchen & Home)
Don't be fooled into thinking you're getting a 2 litre capacity bowl here, there's only just over 1 litre useable volume.I was looking for a processor to chop vegetables but this one just isn't suitable for chopping more than about one onion at a time otherwise you have to stop and remove some to finish some by hand before the rest is chopped to mush. The processor bowl fits onto the motor over a central removable spindle and sometimes it's a fiddle to get all this to line up and work, also the spindle can come away with the bowl and then drop out. The liquidiser is very good though, and so easy to clean. I wish I hadn't bought this processor. If you want to do small quantities you'll be fine, otherwise save up and buy one with a decent capacity, or buy a good knife, it may be quicker. Don't be fooled by what the maker puts on the box either, check their website for full product details before you buy.
