With a 5 Litre stainless steel bowl, 500 Watt power and planetary action, the kMix will work with large quantities perfectly. For delicate mixing, there is a unique fold function that mixes at an extra slow speed, allowing ingredients to be perfectly incorporated without losing air that is important for baking mixtures.

While most beaters rotate in a circular motion, the Kenwood bowl tools move in a planetary way. This means that, while the beater is revolving in one direction, the socket turns in the opposite direction, making sure all the mixture is picked up from around the bowl, resulting in perfect and thorough mixing. |

Amazon Verified Purchase
Well, after a great deal of careful deliberation I finally purchased the Kenwood KMix in Barcelona Stripes. I am totally thrilled with it. As an Mum of two teenage boys, who have grown up on homebaking, I have a already used it many times, making cakes and meringues. I was not sure about doing scones or pastry in it, fearing it may be too heavy handed for the job but both have turned out lovely and light and not overworked at all. I have had one go using the dough hook and produced a plain white loaf which was much lighter than hand kneaded ones I made before. It saves me a good deal of time and produces great results. I love the striped appearance too. Would be interested in the attatchements but they seem somewhat expensive in todays climate.
