Took a bit of a chance on this as I couldn't really find any reviews anywhere. My biggest concern was the iPod interface. Have to say - I've been very impressed.

First of all the unit looks good. The blue illumination is good, although perhaps a little hard to see in sunlight. No problem with the radio aspect at all...just like any other from what I can see. Sound quality seems fine, although this wasn't my biggest concern and I think my car speakers would let me down much more than the radio.

On to the bit I was most interested in - the iPod. It works really well. You plug it in (it doesn't come with a USB cable you can use the one that comes with the ipod) and it switches straight to it. It spends a few seconds searching the device and then it's ready to go. You can control everything from the unit. You press the search button to start choosing. The volume wheel acts as the control - initially you scroll through Artist, Playlist, Album etc. Then you choose your playlist etc. The on screen display works well. If you have a passenger you can also switch control to the iPod itself. The manual explains things pretty well. All in all I'm very happy with the product and would recommend it to anyone who is fed up of trying to find a free station for their FM transmitter!

Verified Purchase
This stereo was very easy to install, took me around 5 minutes.
The sound quality is excellent.
The iPod user interface is superb: allowing you to scroll through artists, albums, playlists etc just as if you were using the iPod itself. Additionally, it even gives you the option to control the iPod itself should you prefer. It recommends the purchase of another Kenwood cable to plug in your iPod, however I have been using the standard lead that comes with your iPod without any problems whatsoever - possibly a marketing ploy to encourage people to spend additional monies that isnt really necessary?
The only complaint I have is that the blue/red lights are far too bright: not a problem during the day, but I actually find it really annoying/distracting when driving at night. I have turned on the 'dim' function but this merely dims the display, not the brightness of the lights, so no joy there. Why oh why did they make the lights so damn bright, otherwise it would've been a 5/5 product?!

Works very well. An excellent stereo for iPod. Connector is at the front and there are optional controls to allow you scroll. Comes with excellent Kenwood sound.

I bought this stereo to play my MP3 player and to use my bluetooth phone through. Even though it says on the box this stereo is blue tooth ready it is not. It comes across the screen that it is blue tooth unit ready which I guess means that I need to buy something else to make it blue tooth ready.
The stereo plays the MP3 player O,K but it is very difficult to use the stereo controls to find songs so I end up using the stereo controls. Therefore I can not charge the MP3 player and listen to my music easily.
I wrote a complaint to Kenwood about the stereo ben advertised as blue tooth ready but have not heard anything, which doesn't say much for their customer service.

I bought this for my boyfriend and during the daytime it's great, the USB function is very useful and it's generally very good value for money, however, once it gets dark (particularly during the winter) this product is a bit of a nightmare. There aren't many streetlights where I live and the blue lights beaming out of the stereo are so bright they really distract you from driving. Even with streetlights they're noticably bright and affect your field of vision. There is no dimmer function and I contacted Kenwood to see if there was anything that could be done, but apparently there's not with this particular model. I'd therefore recommend going for a slightly newer, if a little more expensive, model, as at least then if you find the light distracting you can dim it accordingly.
