I've used it maybe 20 times now and initially had to get used to the greater weight. That said, it's a mixer that means business. I use it mostly for whisking eggs and sugar and it's faster than any other mixer I've used in 20 years. If it wasn't for the great weight of 3 lbs, I would have given it 5 out of 5. Don't buy it for your mother if she's 8 stone and 75 years old.

Had been on the look-out for a good sturdy hand mixer and I have just found one!!
This Kenwood is excellent, although it may be a bit on the heavy side for some, I find it very quick with the 400w motor. The handle is easily gripped and the body of the mixer is easy wiped after use. The mixer can be stored on the stand provided along with the beaters and kneaders which provide compact storage. My old mixer was 80w, had it for over 20 years, but boy, was it slow - so this makes a pleasant change. Happy with my purchase.

This is a fantastic hand mixer. great construction. looks great (beauty is in the eye of the beholder though) various speeds. all round very impressed. little on the heavy side and it has the kenwood price tag. Other than that would recommend.

Nice looking but got broken too fast
The hand mixed looks great and feels solid, but in fact is not.
