We purchased several K Mix items at the end of last year from Amazon, a toaster, hand mixer and this product. We are delighted with the toaster and the hand mixer however I regret spending the money on the processor. It looks very nice sitting on the work surface and the various blades come with safety caps. The power unit is very solidly built and quite heavy. To use the machine to blend by hand in a saucepan you have to remove the power unit from its stand. For anyone with arthritis this could prove difficult as considerable pressure has to be applied to the two buttons on either side of the power handle to release the unit. Attaching the blade of your choice is simple, basically a push and click action, however I would suggest you keep the safety cap in place whilst performing this process. We make soup most days and therefore have used the blade suggested for pureeing soups quite frequently. Sadly I have to say that it is out performed by its predecessor, a cheap (around £12), basic hand held wand. Regularly lumps remain in the soup even after several minutes spent pureeing the mix. I have now started using the smaller blade which is proving more successful. I have tried using the processor and bowl to crumb butter into flour when making pastry. Again I do not find the results that satisfactory. I have yet to achieve a fine crumb mix despite varying the speed level used. Do not put the lid of the processor unit in water as it is not completely watertight. I had to let mine drip dry for a couple of hours to ensure all the water had come out. Another issue I had was having used the processor unit to make a batter the mix had seeped into the blade fitment in the lid and it was extremely difficult to clean, in fact it is still showing remnants of the batter mix despite having used a cocktail stick to try and clean the unit. As you have probably guessed I am far from pleased with its performance to date. I have purchased several pieces of Kenwood made equipment over the years, including a Kenwood Chef, however, this processor unit Kenwood kMix HB792 Hand Blender, Almond Cream is by far the most disappointing product of theirs that I have bought.

I have been searching for a hand blender for my tearoom, I did not want to spend hundreds of pounds on a 'professional ' one and thought I would try this Kenwood model, previous bender was a Braun and the quality was fairly light weight. Iam amazed at the quality of this blender at such a great price. I cannot praise it highly enough, my three kitchen staff agree.

I bought this mainly for blending soups which it does with ease. It is quite heavy but feels sturdy enough to cope with difficult jobs and the potato masher is a great added bonus. Never have my potatoes been so smooth! It is really easy to clean which is big advantage. Haven't used the other attachments as yet but they look like a useful addition.
