After researching for days what food processor to buy I decided to buy this one because of the multi options, level of noise, power of the motor and good looking design. After I bought it and I tried at least 5 different options, I am extremely satisfied with the results. The level of noise is acceptable, it is extremely quick and stay almost immobile when is chopping large quantity of veg because the sturdy design of the motor. the mill bowl is amazing and the liquidizer seems robust. In the other hand though, it required to have a lot of space for the accessories!!! I am not convinced about the design of the bowls as the biggest bowl have to stay on all the time!!! as it is the only one with the locking system, which means that if you want to chop or grate small quantities of food you have to use the smaller bowls within the big one. This bring along two defects of the design; one is that it isn't easy to take the inner bowls out of the big one; second you have to wash both bowls even if the big one is used as a base because it is almost unavoidable to splash some part of the mixture into the big bowl. Taking into account that the size of the big bowl is huge!!! this seems to rather disappointed as add time to your washing up or a lot of space into you dishwasher.... but overall I am satisfied with my purchased. If you are looking for a good or excellent chopping results this is a quick and powerful tool to have but think about the space needed to store blender, mill bowl and box of blades...Also be aware that you will be shock to open the door for the delivery as the box is HUGE!

After some really prolonged research for a food processor, I was left in the end with two models that share similar quality features, the philips robust range food processor and this. As there were no reviews in amazon regarding this in amazon I was more inclined to purchase the philips but after checking the attachments provided I thought that this was better given that it has more attachments, several bowls and a container for attachment storage (which the philips lacks).
I checked prices online and I found it in a nice website where it costed 40£ less than amazon, and that makes a price difference of around 90£ to the philips, so I saved my self a bit of money. When it arrived I opened the box where it had the unit and its attachments, cleaned them and gave it a try.
Tried shredding with some really nice results, tried slicing with similar results. As any owner of foood processor would know these are the relatively easy bits compared with whisking and mixing a dough. The first try for a dough was making a pizza base, although I didn't put the right amount of ingredients but the result was really good, there are some bits that stick here and there but if the dough is firm enough there wouldn't be a problem. The major problem was how the processor wobbled around and needed to be held down while it was doing the mixing!. You would expect a problem like that in a relatively small model but this was quite heavy and still wobbled around a bit. There are other attachments but I still haven't used many of them.
This processor is very stylish and would happily set in the corner of any well sized kitchen, the attachment box is similar in size to a bread keeper and is well designed as well, one of the knifes and the two smaller bowls have to stay in the machine for storage, and most of its contents are dish washer safe. And to be honest the machine motor (or at least the dial control) feels as if it stronger than what it should be. never the less, this is an awesome piece of kit and I would really recommend it, and I don't really think that it might be outdone from any processor in its class (the uprights) espesially in available functions, well done Kenwood!

I took my time researching food processors, and finally went for the latest Kenwood (FP980). It is expensive, but I'm very impressed by the build quality and stylish design. It has an extremely powerful motor, so it makes light work of any job. The features are practical and easy to use. I'm particularly fond of the in-built weighing scale and the fact that all the bowls etc are dishwasher safe. One of my concerns about buying this machine was that it appeared to be much heavier than other machines. However, the base unit is sturdy but not too heavy - it is the glass accessories that add to the weight. The 3 bowl system is very useful and straighforward. All the bits and pieces take up quite a lot of space in the cupboard, but I was expecting that. I haven't tried everything out yet as I mostly use the cutting disc - it makes excellent pastry. All in all I'm very glad I bought this machine, and I expect it to last for many years.
