The innovative Multi Pro concept offers more functionality than other food processors. The compact Multi Pro range uses a unique dual drive system, meaning that less space is taken up on the worktop – a space saving of up to 37% when compared to a standard food processor.

The FP580 has a 2.9 litre bowl (1.5 litre working volume) and a 1.5 capacity liquidiser. The 500W motor allows for effortless mixing, and its 2 speeds plus pulse provide total user control. A range of attachments are supplied, including high quality stainless steel chopping blades, stainless steel coarse slicing/shredding disc, stainless steel fine slicing/shredding disc, fine julienne disc, twin geared whisk, dough tool and citrus juicer.

Compact and versatile, the Kenwood FP580 has a stylish, durable die cast brushed metal body. Additional key features include dishwasher safe parts for easy cleaning, integral cord storage, and an interlock system for optimum safety and security.

    I am a huge fan of food processors and this Kenwood did nothing to diminish my enjoyment of them. It makes life so much easier, doing chopping, slicing, whipping, juicing, etc, within seconds. It's quite compact too so it doesn't take up too much counter space.

    It's only downfall is a basic design flaw. When you remove the processor from the base to take out the food inside, first of all it requires pressure to get it out - something not easy esp since its all so delicate. Secondly when you remove the bowl, the plastic beam in the center which rotates the blade stays in - and usually falls out (which means you can break it easily if you drop it one too many times). If you can get over htese two annoyances then it's a fabulous processor.

    I assembled the FP580 correctly, clicking bowl and lid into place, but it refused to work. I requested a replacement from Amazon, and the same thing happened again! I have used food processors before, and know what to do, and also asked a neighbour to assemble them independently, with the same result. After the second failure, I cancelled the order and returned the machines.

    I have since bought a different food processor locally, and it works.

    My criticism is aimed only at Kenwood. Amazon's service was impeccable throughout. Both processors arrived as soon as ordered, and the replacement was here even before I had returned the first one. My explanation was accepted without comment, and the refund made promptly to my debit card.Kenwood FP580 Food Processor, 2 Speed (White)

    Having a shoulder injury, I am unable to knead bread. I thought the dough hook would do this for me, but if i leave the machine kneading for more than 30 seconds, it jumps all over the place and smells like the motor is burning out. Also the dough ends up tangled all over the inside of the machine and is very difficult to get out and to clean off.
    When chopping veg, the cutter pulls through full pieces of cabbage without chopping. Carrots go to mush. I have reverted to using a hand grater.
