The inside of this brush is bare metal. I managed to scratch all my wheels (factory painted alloys) using this very coarse brush. Best avoid if you have similar ones,

I quite like "Kent" products so I thought I would try this one for the small recesses in my alloys. Overall, it does the job reasonably well, reaching into the small gaps face on, but I have found that it has quickly gone out of shape after about five or six uses, whereby the bristles have flattened right down to the wire in places.

It is still usable, but because it's also too big and inflexible to really fit right through the spokes and clean the inside of the alloy in places, I give this product 6/10.

Read the suppliers discription about the brush then ignore it,the brush does the opposite and its cheap but not value for money as the bristles have flatened after using it twice?

This brush is not the best, it can be dangerous if used wrong. The build quality is terrible, the handle and the wire inside where the bristles are not well designed. You can take chunks off your alloys if you use this brush wrong, the fibres are also too hard on the alloy wheel.

I would suggest staying away from this unless you don't really care about your alloys and just want a good scrub. You will have better luck with washing the dirt off, using a spray and a micro fibre cloth or mitt.

If the handle and the metal inside were different i would have rated this 5 but it is the metal inside that can damage you alloys.

Having read the previous reviews somewhat sceptical about the product but pleased with overall performance to date and appears better than other products bought at Hafords and Tesco. Treat it with respect and it should last a reasonable time.

When I purchased my new car, I wanted to take care of the alloy wheels. So, over about 2 weeks I bought 4 "Wheel Brushes". This is the only one I have used - just the job!

I use this brush along with the excellent auto glym alloy wheel cleaner.

The brush itself seems durable enough, although I think that realistically, users have to be prepared for these brushs not to last too long! I considered how I use my brush, 3 cars (MGTF with wire spoke wheels, a BMW 1 series and a Vauxhall Vectra) the MG is a bit of a pain and takes more time to clean as it has more gaps, the BMW and Vectra are far easier, but in total 12 wheels and a fair amount of elbow grease to get them clean, has to impact upon the brush and it does.

I suppose I really clean the wheels on our cars about twice a year, although the MG more often for now real reason other than it gets dirtier quicker and I like it to look nice. I would suggest that this item might last for two years, but realistically I would anticipate replacing it after 12 months, but that would be 24 wheels really cleaned. Occasional light use and it would probably last much longer.

For me combined with the wheel cleaner I am very satisfied and recommend this item.
