This mount isn't bad at all. It amplifies sound mechanically by about a third again of the handsfree volume which makes it very workable as a handsfree phone holder and as an iPhone GPS. The suction pad does what it says when applied to the window correctly. I've used mine at home with my iPhone for over a year and also fitted it to a hire car when on vacation in the US. Worked a treat.

Amplifying cradle a load of b*******.
Screen suction cup doesnt work.
Save your self some money and just buy one of the many cheap alternatives.

I love the Kensington but they are badly made. this was a replacement for one that had been damaged in the car - this one actually arrived damaged but i was away and didn't know until i got back by which time the 7 days return policy were over (my son hadn't opened the parcel). it's a shame because it had been highly recommended but i wouldn't buy kensington again. I dont' think it was in the way it was handled during transit but it's hard to tell - a piece had snapped off - i thought it just loose but the snapped bit was there too.
