I bought my wife a Net Book which had the usual navigation pad that you have to keep stroking it this way and that to select a feature on your screen. It didn't take long before she got fed up because touching the pad would accidentally pick up something else and so she wanted a mouse, I got her a Kensington. This mouse is good it has its own power supply (AA battery) and a wireless connection that plugs into the USB socket. To start using it you sqeeze the sides at the rear of the mouse and a little door opens, this reveals the USB wireless connector. By pressing an internal red button it ejects the connector and the mouse becomes live, close the door and plug the connector into the USB socket and your ready to go. It's bit on the small side as I think it was originally designed for womens petit hands but it is a well thought out device _ Brilliant
