I have just received this today.What a really good idea.I have been playing my Sony walkman MP3/Photo through the speaker and the sound is great.Its no stereo system but for listening by the pool,out in the garden or in a holiday apartment it should be ample.

The MP3 should be turned up to at least half sound output,then just use the external volume control for the remainder of the time.The base is surprisingly good for such a small speaker,it also has loads of space inside,in which to store earphones or usb leads(for holiday top ups?).

I am really looking forward to using this on my next holiday.
All I can really add is that you would be foolish to purchase anything more expensive as this certainly is a robust quality peice of kit - Buy it before it runs out of stock again!!

I actually bought these for a holiday, but unfortunately they didn't arrive in time because the seller didn't have stock. I had to settle for a cheap alternative from generic electrical store. Still though, to have a musical protective case for my iPod was brilliant - no worrying about damaging it and also to have some music in the hotel room instead of some foreign tv. Plus you can share your bad taste in music with fellow sunbathers. But finally they have arrived, and I've been messing with them all day.

The quality really is top notch and the NXT speakers built in produce crystal sound with surprisingly good bass. I was really quite shocked from what 2 AAA's could do. Quite spacious inside so my iPod Video slides around by a 1 or 2cm, but still small enough to fit in a manbag, not a pocket. The volume dial on the outside is a definite must, as i noticed I had to keep diving in and out of the other one to adjust the ever-changing song volume.

I can't imagine spending a better £19 on a holiday essential (but don't skimp on lotion ladies and gentlemen). The speakers will accept anything with a headphone jack, and I use rechargeable batteries which I reckon will easily last a day or two. Nothing short of a perfect gift either, as I couldn't find them anywhere else apart from on Amazon. Also, great service as always, thanks Amazon.

I want to book another holiday now so I can have an excuse to use them. Haha.

Just received the "FX300 Speaker to go" today, and thought I should write a review (something I rarely do). I'm astounded you can get something as well designed as this, that sounds as good as this, delivered for under £20. It's sturdy case will protect your ipod from knocks, keep out sand and dust, and with a built in flat panel speaker that really does sound good, particularly when you consider it's price. It seems well built too. You'll need some rechargeable AAAs as I can't imagine the 2 supplied will last long. It's no ghetto blaster (obviously) but this is perfect for holidays, travel, beach etc. Just get it!
