Really happy with the Desktop Locking Kit, the wire feels more substantial that the laptop one I had from work, and with the ability to lock multiple devices I was very happy with the result. The length of the cable is substantial enough for me to wrap around a desk unit, though the pc back panel (water cooling holes), up through a monitor, through the hard disk unit and use the cable bar to trap my second monitors cable. So the only disappointing thing is that I do not know how to buy more of the specific locking units to put through the cable.

For those wondering as the pictures do not show this, the lock does unlock and separates from the cable. You can then feed the cable round desks and the included locking mechanisms.

Although I bought this kit specifically to secure an expensive gaming desktop PC, which it does do; I feel the product is let down by some shortcomings by Kensington, the manufacturer.

1: Only ONE adhesive mounted pad supplied - it could do with a MINIMUM of two in the pack. [I contacted Kensington and they do NOT supply/sell additional or replacement pads/mountings.]

2: The cable fitting ("U" shaped profile) supplied is virtually pointless and would be better replaced with an extra fitting of either the other 2 types provided.

3:The final niggle (and the MAIN reason I bought this product) is the diameter of the locking end of the cable.
It is a real struggle to get the end (minus the lock itself) to fit through the bracket (which is designed into the desktop PC frame) provided for this purpose. I assume all desktop PCs have a standardised size for the Kensington lock bracket, so WHY is the Kensington lock cable end too large to easily fit it? I had to (slightly) enlarge the hole in order to enable the end of the cable to fit through.

Those 3 points aside, it does now fulfil my requirements, but I'll stay with my 3 stars rating. Kensington could do better and take on board customer feedback. Make available extra fittings for this product.

This product is NOT worth the RRP of £27.99, however I paid only half that using Wiziwoo and fulfilled by Amazon.

Firstly I commend Amazon for getting the product to me in great time! I payed for next day delivery before 12, and bang on it was too. Delivered before 12 and was worth the additional cost!

I bought this lock for my computer two monitors and additional wires protruding from my computer including speakers, monitor cables and any other peripherals.

Firstly as with a few of the Kensington products I own, I was impressed with the quality of the individual components. The Monitor locks were of great quality and where very simple to install. The cable was easily long enough to wrap around the radiator and through the computer and two monitor locks with plenty to spare! The cable is although flexible very tough and durable, and the lock at the end is also. My computer case, is awkward and actually didn't fit any type of computer lock to it at all. I instead bought the Kensington pack because it offered me an engineered solution. I have water cooling holes in the back of my computer case which allowed me to slot the big black square computer lock component through it, allowing me to then lock up my computer. Had that failed, I would have used the cable tidier and a narrow steel bar and done a similar thing.

This lock allows for many ways of locking a computer and monitor/s up and is well worth the money!

Took this and my desktop to i52, nothing went missing... Luckily...

I followed the instructions and attached the pad thing to my tower a few days before going to make sure it was well adhered. I don't know when, but at some point over that weekend the pad came off, meaning that anyone could have wandered off with it.

It was good overall, good length of cable, was able to keep my monitor safe as it had a kensington locking point on it, the metal U to keep my stuff (keyboard, mouse and headset) safe worked fine. Its just that pad coming off that taints it really, as its not protecting the most important bit.

Will look to mod my own locking point into the tower and just use the second monitor lock instead.

The cable is very hard steel and is coated with soft plastic, I pretty straight forward in putting in place, and you'll do it in seconds.
The metal bits works great as you only have to put them in Kensington hole in your device, the U shaped bit is used to lock keyboard, mouse or any corded device.
What doesn't convince me is the flat plastic bit, in order to use it you have to glue it on the device, this will altering the aspect of the item and of course is easier than the others to remove.
The whole kit looks like is made to resist anyway.

The locking kit is okay, but don't be fooled by the adhesive pad for the Desktops. I stuck it onto my Corsair C70 before LAN, and let it cure etc. Someone was able to get it off, in an attempt to steal my PC. They didn't succeed because of the sheer weight of the PC, and it being behind my monitor, which was still locked to the desk. I think you should probably find another way to attach the locking kit to your PC if you're using it for that.
