After doing what I'm sure many have done before me, I bought a cheaper charger and assumed it would work only to be faced with an error message on the screen of my phone so the search began for a charger that would work. Many people have mixed feedback on a lot of chargers for the iphone 3Gs but this one seems to come with the most positive remarks. I have to agree with one reviewer who had problems in a Ford car, I too have this problem (hence only 4 stars) but if pulled in the direction of the usb connector/lead it maintains a conection, I drove 30 odd miles without it losing connection, it would be a pain if I had to continuously move it around for best connection each time I use it but it is ok in the same position each time I plug it in, I guess this is possibly the design of the Ford pwr point rather than the charger being completely to blame. I'm happy with this charger it does exactly as it says and without the error messages and charges quite quickly too, the lead is quite long too if needed to mount or place the phone a distance away from the pwr point. To be maybe more helpful I am using this to charge the iphone 3Gs 16GB bought in April this year, if this info from reviewers was left it would have helped me a bit more (I'm not a techno whiz) so I hope me leaving it will assist someone out there too.

Originally bought a Belkin product which was claimed to work with my iPhone 3G but it didn't (the iPhone even complained about it) so I returned it to the shop and bought this item.

This works fine. And it's cheap enough. Cannot say yet how robust it is but feels sturdy. Will report later if problems

Good trackball
Exactly as descrtibed in the blurb. Works well out of the box and you don't need the proprietory software to get it to work: Windows XP has all necessary drivers etc. Read more

This works but it's not powerful enough
