I was looking for beans specifically for making cappuccino with. I like my coffee quite milky but also strong, so i was looking for something pretty robust.
However my options were pretty limited as I'm also only interested in buying coffee that is Fairtrade or Rainforest Alliance certified. So this Kenco dark roast pretty much chose itself.
Happily enough I can report that this makes really decent coffee. It does have a very smoky smell/taste (as advertised) and manages to pack a punch as well as having a good, well-rounded, taste.
In addition I find the price pretty appealing (1kg lasting me about two months).
A good buy.
