5.0 out of 5 stars lovely 27 Jun 2012
By schumann_bg TOP 50 REVIEWER
Format:Paperback
Keith Vaughan was one of the greatest British artists of the 20th century, who has been largely eclipsed at present. These drawings have a marked character in the line, rough-hewn and expressive. One of a sleeping youth is amazing, there's something about the line that is unique, even though they are simple drawings of one or two figures. The erotic charge of the artist's gaze is felt on every page of this beautifully produced volume.

Only for committed Keith Vaughan fans.
These drawings don't actually add much to our knowledge of Vaughan's ouvre.
There's a breif Introductory essay by Edward Lucie-Smith.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Master of the Male Form 15 Jan 2002
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Keith Vaughan was one of Britain's most prolific and talented artists and a master of the male form. His exhibited works were austere abstracts featuring male bodies, but this book reveals his more intimate approach to the nude. It's highly recommended to any fan of the male body in art. The drawings won't disappoint, but I would point out that it is really only a small catalogue, with limited editorial.

1.0 out of 5 stars Ordered 2 copies of the book & seller cancelled 1 order. Drawings are very amateur. 17 Jan 2011
By Leo - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I ordered 2 copies of this book in error. Fortunately seller cancelled one copy. The drawings are very amateurish, and look like the work of someone in grade school. Recommend this only is you like this sort of thing.

1.0 out of 5 stars Did a 5 year old draw this book? 22 Dec 2005
By R. Berumann - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This book is the worst book on the male form ever, his drawings are comparable to a begining artist with no drawing experance. This art belongs sketched on a wall with gang griffiti. I have purchased about fifty books on this subject in the past year and I wish that I would not have wasted the money on this book.
