This is a high quality, large format book, 270mm x 210mm and something you would be proud to have in your possession for many years to come. All pages are in full colour with dozens of fantastic pictures never seen before.
This book is more than a biography. It is a rare look behind the scenes at one of the most influential karate instructors the world has ever known. Written by one of Sensei Enoedas long time students and with contributions from some of the worlds top karate instructors. There is also an introduction from Mrs Reiko Enoeda. --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.
He has written for various martial arts magazines including Shotokan Karate Magazine, Traditional Karate and Fighting Arts International. Rod has also travelled to Japan and trained at the famous JKA Honbu in Tokyo.
In 1985 Rod founded the successful Chingford, Enfield, Larkswood and Wanstead karate clubs in North London, which Sensei Enoeda regularly visited. He also organised the annual Karate Masterclass, which was held every December, where students from all over the United Kingdom would come to train with Sensei Enoeda and Sensei Ohta.
He continues to run the karate clubs to this day and is now the public relations officer for JKA England, as well as being the chairman of the committee and assistant instructor at Sensei Ohtas OASIS karate club in Londons West End.

Book Synopsis Only,
By Terry Tozer "TJSKA.com" (Reading, Bracknell, Brighton & Hove, UK) - See all my reviews (TOP 1000 REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Keinosuke Enoeda: Tiger of Shotokan Karate (Paperback)
In the world of martial arts, there is one name that crosses the boundaries of styles, countries, and organizations - Keinosuke Enoeda.
Keinosuke Enoeda Tiger of Shotokan Karate is a full pictorial and biographical account of the life and times of karate legend Master Keinosuke Enoeda, 9th Dan, of the Japan Karate Association (JKA). Includes contributions from some of the world's top instructors (including Stan Schmidt and Yoshinobu Ohta) as well as hundreds of fantastic pictures never seen before. Enoeda was respected not just by followers and supporters of Shotokan Karate, but by all the other leaders of various martial arts throughout the world. Even the great Sumo team from Japan, upon visiting London, sought out the dojo of Master Enoeda for a visit. Written by Rod Butler, a 30-year student of Enoeda and one of his deputy instructors in London. This book is a loving tribute to a sadly-departed Shotokan karate master.
