I've devoured book one. I'm hungry for number two please.
Marcus breathes new life into the fantasy genre with a contemporary Wizard of Oz adding a new martial art along the way to make a kick-ass adventure. Don't wait for the film to come out, read the book first! If you don't have an imagination, let Marcus draw it out for you to enjoy. Move over Harry Potter, there's a new hero in town and her name is Charlie Keeper!

I heard about this book from a friend and was so compelled by their enthusiasm that I thought I'd take a chance on it. I'm so happy I did - what an amazing story! It just carries you along, really getting you to love the characters and at the end the hint of a sequel has just left me wishing for more.
It's a real treat in terms of old-fashioned story telling. Great individual characters that all combine so effortlessly that you feel like you know them within the first 50 or so pages. There are too many amazing scenes, so vividly painted, to mention. My personal favourite was the game of K'Changa, but that's really just the start of the tales.
The authors website rocks too - that's well worth checking out, but overall this is about the story. Book 2 now please!

I was given this book by a friend and it was just brilliant, couldn't put it down. Didn't think anything would keep me hooked like Harry Potter did when I first read it but here is something fresh, new and exciting. I recommend.
