I very highly recommend this book to all Amazon buyers who have a body and wish to look after it. But................

It is exactly and precisely the same book as 'Body In Action' by the same author. I think this should be made clear on the cover of the book (and not just in small print inside.)

I bought it thinking it was a ''new'' title (a totally new book) written by the author of 'Body in Action'.......whereas it is in fact the old book with a new title.

I am using this book every day. The exercises really work and I find the detailed background info useful. The only reason I did not give this book five stars was that some of the exercise instructions are hard to understand - once you work out what they mean they are great.

I bought this following a recommendation from another yoga teacher. The book goes through teach major joint and explains the structure, how it works, what typically goes wrong and how to help if you've injured it at 3 different levels. Easy to read clearly illustrated and very practicial.
I shall certainly recommend it to other IYENGAR yoga teachers, as well as students. I've already lent mine to a tennis player with elbow strain.

This book gives a number of exercises that really work to keep joints moving and ease pain. The directions and use of the exercises are clear. The advice is invaluable.
