Every so often, a band comes along that changes something. Changes the direction nearly an entire music scene seems to be heading. In the 1970's, it could be very well argued that this band was Led Zeppelin. All riff-laden guitars, pounding drums, driving bass, and yelping vocals. Plenty of bands have tried to emulate this in the past, but none to quite as high a standard as we see now.
Ironic then, that this band should be called The Answer. If you tire of every single new band of the moment sounding like a "fresher" Duran Duran or A-Ha, then you will definitely appreciate what has been done here. Every song on this debut EP would not sound out of place in an incense smoke filled bedroom with a lava lamp in 1973. Resurrect John Bonham, and re-group the rest of Led Zeppelin, and you can bet your bottom dollar they wouldn't mind belting out a few of these tunes. They really are tremendous. It's like Led Zeppelin with added backing vocals, which are a great touch to this fantastic new-old sound.
A fresh approach to new music, with inspired classic touches, The Answer really are, well, the answer!
