I'm a bit embarrassed that I purchased this. Like lots of other fans, I'm curious. How Keanu lives his life really isn't any of my business. I can't help but be intrigued -- the less that he tells, the more interesting he is.
This DVD really doesn't give you any new insight to his personal life. I don't think that it is a violation of his privacy. Rather it is clips from various interviews and narrated. I do think that it does highlight many of his films. I don't agree with the opinions of the producers. Some of the dialogue is taken out of context and it doesn't seem fair to Keanu.
It's easy to forget that even though Keanu is a big movie star and public figure that he's still just a guy. Sure, he's famous but in a way, fame can be paralyzing. I don't know if he can go through a day without being recognized. I can go to the grocery store and buy a loaf of bread and go home. I don't have to worry about signing an autograph or being followed by the paparazzi. For that reason, I'm happy to remain anonymous.
I don't read the tabloids or believe the rumors surrounding our favorite stars. Deep down, I know that it's none of my business how stars live their lives. Even so, I still bought this DVD and continued to be intrigued by the lives of an actor whose performances that I respect, and admire.
