Product Description

Another case for the respected northern barrister who worked his way up to the top at the expense of his family life. Kavanagh (John Thaw), defending Caroline Wicks against the charge that she and her brother Sam murdered their father and stepmother, finds his concentration slipping in court when he receives some bad family news. His father is seriously ill following a stroke, and there are more upheavals in store at home.

This is one of the most memorable episodes in the Kavenagh series, and certainly the most chilling. It concerns a brother and sister who, after being deprived of the family estate, are jointly charged with murdering their parents. The brother's powerful influence on his sister and the twisting plot make absorbing viewing, and produce one of the memorable climaxes of all the Kavanagh episodes.
