4.0 out of 5 stars Sweet and surprising 10 April 2011
By RiverM
Format:Paperback
I bought my copy at Forbidden Planet where the author and artists were signing books. I glanced through it and thought 'what the hell, I'll give it a go'. I was pleasantly surprised. The writing is quirky, well researched and certainly not predictable. The story flows very nicely and tells both from Kate and William's point of view, so you see the relationship develop from both sides. William's is more of an action story, lots of scenes of him in the army rescuing people in helicopters.

A lot of effort has obviously been put in on all sides - writing, research, the art and colouring. After finishing it I bought copies for friends, which I think is the sign of a good book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Quite a surprise 5 April 2011
Format:Paperback
I was't expecting much from this, but I thought it would be fun. And, it was. But I didn't expect something to use the comic book medium quite so well. The flip concept of two stories heading towards the same conclusion, the way aspects of each story play off the other, and as for the art, it was an emotionally wrenching approach. A lot better than it had any right to be.

1.0 out of 5 stars Just Jumping on the Band Wagon 4 April 2011
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Size of a guide booklet, extremely glossy paper making it difficult to read. Changing font and sizes. Artistes impression neither realistic nor caricature.
Disappointed.
