Great little camera bag, perfect fit for Nikon D5100 with either standard lens or equally with the 55-300mm lens attached. comes with a strap and a raincover. Makes a great little bag for carrying the camera out and about with one lens attached. Highly recommended.

Bought this bag to carry my Canon 6D with Sigma 24-105 lens whilst hiking. The bag is well constructed and seems pretty robust, with good quality hooks and zips. It includes a raincover - which works well, although I sometimes found a bit awkward to fit over the carabiner hooks (you have to get the right angle). I needed a bag I could attach to my front onto my backpack straps via bungees/carabiners, and it worked well for this purpose. For my camera/lens combination it was a tight fit (my fault for buying the smallest bag I could get away with!) - especially with lens hood left on - which meant I couldn't use the small internal pocket for anything. The reason I haven't given the bag 5 stars is because I feel the bag misses a secure external pocket (I don't feel comfortable putting expensive filters etc in the webbing pockets without a zip or similar). Also the rain cover is useful, but again it needs to either be kept loose inside the bag (taking up space) or tucked into the external webbing.

I'm using the case wearing it with belt around my waist, carrying a Canon 7d with the 24-105 lens while upland hunting.
While in the bush I usually push the case towards my back so it doesn't get in the way.
It protects the camera and it's fairly quick to un-case it and take a snap of the dogs pointing.

I have a Canon EOS 600D with a 70-300mm lens and wanted a camera case which was light, with easy camera access. This case fits that bill perfectly. The product description is not that obvious, as it states for 16-35mm lens, so I looked at a number of reviews to confirm my camera would fit in this bag. It is a snug fit, so certainly no room for spare lenses, but perfect for what I wanted - light, comfortable to carry and easy camera access.
I also have a 70-200mm DSLR so intend to buy the Kata Grip 16 DL for when I want to go out with that camera lens. These cases are not suitable for carrying all your camera equipment, but they are great as a rapid access holster bag.
The price on Amazon was excellent (a lot cheaper than the airport price) and delivery was very quick. Will buy my next bag from the same supplier.

Takes my D610 and Nikkor 28-300 lens perfectly and saves the hassle of carrying another kit bag/case around.
The quality is superb and has excellent insulation material of a very high quality and protection and can thoroughly recommend Kata to anyone who wants this value product for their longer lenses without paying the earth for it.

I have had endless difficulty finding a case that I considered suitable for my new D5300 with an 18-140 kit lens.

There are several cases into which the camera/lens will fit, but not securely. With the actual camera body being so compact, all the cases I bought (and retuned) before I discovered the Kata Drip DL14, were too big and ugly. These included Lowepro, Hama (2) and Case Logic cases; none of them are tailored to suit my camera and needs.

If you want a case into which you can carry endless bits and pieces, they might be satisfactory for you – but I don’t. All I want is storage for the Camera, memory cards and the odd filter; the Kata DL14, designed for the Israeli Army, I believe, met all these requirements – and with its tailored styling, looks good.

Having used this bag now for 6 months I'm still really pleased with it. It provides excellent, all-round, padded protection for the camera, the materials used are strong and hard wearing, it's well constructed, has a strong carrying handle and excellent padded shoulder strap, and the bag and zips are water-resistant so no problem getting caught out in a shower. And if it starts raining heavily, it's supplied with an elasticated water-proof cover - very similar to those you get with a daysack. Others have commented that there isn't really anywhere to store the rain cover. Mine just goes inside at the bottom of the bag, where it takes up virtually no space. Sure you have to take the camera out to retrieve it, but I need it so rarely that it's not a problem. And yes, it's hard to open the bag once the rain cover is on, but if it's raining so hard that I need the rain cover, it's raining too hard to want to take out my camera!

In terms of capacity, I can fit my Nikon D600 with 70-200mm zoom, plus a small wide-angle zoom or prime lens inside the bag all at once (without lens hoods). So it's pretty capacious. The small pockets are fine for extra memory cards and spare lens/body cap or a filter but not much more than that. But that's ideal - if I want to take more stuff, I'll use a proper kit bag. This is intended to provide protection when I just want to take the camera itself.

And finally, it looks discrete and quite stylish (much nicer than it looks in the main photo!). Strongly recommended.
