This is not compatible with Mac OS Lion. Caused my machine to drastically crash and all my files had to be erased. All software had to be reinstalled. Be careful!

I always thought that Macs were immune to infection, until I read that the real situation was that the hackers etc. hadn't really focused on Macs - but that this was changing...
I found this product easy to install, scans don't take an overlong time, no sign of Norton-type pop-ups which infuriate on my pc, and there's no sign of it slowing my mac down.
It has picked up several viruses, so it's so far, so good, and an ok price.

A worthy security package for the Mac which makes a refreshing change with the whole does a mac need a security suite, personally speaking i'd say yes. This installs easily and performs a scan in good time even with almost the full terabyte of hard drive used up.
The only odd thing is that as much as it states it auto updates Im not convinced but always make sure I press the update button to be sure, when it does find something the only real annoyance I have is the orange warning symbol the software has on display until you get rid of these, you can send all to quarantine and think your done but occasionally the software can't send them there and they have to be manually deleted, although there are options to have the software do this for you I like to see what it has found to be a problem.
The icing on the cake is that they realise many mac users will have vmware or similar set up to use windows on your mac and so they give you a free windows version in the bundle - not sure why exactly as the mac version does log any dodgy products that may be located in your bootcamp or vmware partition.
I did fall out with Kaspersky products for a while and switched allegiance to other security packages for my pc and mac, this however is a good second attempt for the mac and CPU usage during normal machine use is minimal (less that 3% CPU usage). If you have a mac and think your safe just have a think about the number of mac users and how this is growing - it will only be a matter of time before virus attacks on mac are launched successfully...
